About Lions
• Lions live in groups called a pride
• They rest a lot to save energy – Lions love to sleep!
• Their loud roar can be heard from far away. In fact, up to 5 miles away!
• Male lions have big manes to help them look big and strong
Habitat – African Savannah (open grasslands)
• Wide open grasslands
• Home to many animals living together in a delicate balance
• Savannahs are really hot during the day and are cooler at night and this is when lions are most active in the wild
